The present disclosure relates to a display device and a driving method of a display device. The display device includes: a display panel which includes a plane area and at least one curved area disposed at the outside of the plane area; a timing controller configured to use an image signal to generate image data; and a data driver configured to use the image data to output a data voltage to a plurality of pixels disposed in the plane area and a plurality of pixels disposed in the at least one curved area, in which the timing controller includes: an image analyzing unit configured to analyze an image signal corresponding to the at least one curved area and a luminance control unit configured to control the image signal corresponding to the at least one curved area to increase a luminance of the at least one curved area. By doing this, the luminance of the at least one curved area is increased based on the viewing angle to increase the luminance uniformity of the display panel, thereby minimizing the deterioration of the image quality due to the curved area.

The present embodiments generally relate to a display panel and a display device which may recognize touch. A display panel is provided in which a touch sensor and a touch line are disposed in an active area in which a part of an outer edge of the touch line is curved to correspond to a curved shape of the active area in the display panel so that the touch sensing is allowed in display panels having various shapes. Further, a touch display device is provided in which an open area is located between two adjacent touch lines disposed on the display panel so that touch sensing is allowed also in the display panel including an open area such as a hole or a notch.

The present disclosure relate to a display device (100) and a display panel (110). The display area (DA) of the display panel (110) may include a first optical area (OA1) overlapping a first optical electronic device and a normal area (NA) located outside of the first optical area (OA1). The first optical area (OA1) may include a plurality of light emitting areas (EA) and a plurality of first transmission areas (TA1), and the normal area (NA) may include a plurality of light emitting areas (EA). A plurality of signal lines may include a first horizontal line (HL1) including a first optical horizontal line portion (HL1_O1) disposed in the first optical area (OA1), and a non-optical horizontal line portion (HL1_N) disposed in the normal area (NA), and a second horizontal line (HL2) disposed in the normal area (NA) without being disposed in the first optical area (OA1). A first outer horizontal line portion (HL1_OUT1) disposed in an outer area in the first optical area (OA1) has a greater length per unit area compared to other portions thereof, or a width of all or a portion of the first horizontal line (HL1) may be smaller than a width of the second horizontal line (HL2). Accordingly, an RC load difference between the horizontal lines can be compensated for.
