A new diamond substrate having a {100} plane as a main surface is created from a single crystal diamond having a {100} plane as a main surface. The method includes a step of performing prior processing on a first starting point 42A and a second starting point 42b respectively set on a first crystal face 11a and a second crystal face 11b from among crystal faces constituting a {111} plane, by condensing the laser light using the laser condenser, the first crystal face 11a and the second crystal face 11b forming a wedge structure whose tip becomes thinner toward the main surface 10a inside a single crystal diamond block 10; and a step of forming a scanning line unit 14 by condensing the laser light using the laser condenser 190, and forming a first scanning line 41a and a second scanning line 41b on the first crystal face 11a and the second crystal face 11b, respectively, using processing marks from the first starting point 42a and the second starting point 42b toward the main surface 10a, the first scanning line 41a and the second scanning line 41b being connected at the tip of the wedge structure 12. |

Provided is a light-transmitting article comprising, on an outer surface of a base material, an antireflection layer that has a laminated structure of two or more materials with different refractive indexes, and comprising, on an outer surface of the antireflection layer, a protection layer composed of a material free of fluorine atoms. The variance in visible reflectance at the surface of the article due to the presence or absence of the protection layer is less than 0.5%, and the variance in visible reflectance at the surface of the article before and after the following alkali resistance test is less than 1.0%. With this light-transmitting article, the optical properties of the antireflection layer do not vary before and after formation of the protection layer, whereby an antireflection layer-equipped article (light-transmitting article) having a protection layer is achieved that exhibits excellent alkali resistance.[Alkali resistance test]A test article is immersed in a 0.4 mass% aqueous sodium hydroxide solution (test solution) at 55°C and removed from the test solution after three hours. Pure water is poured over the test article for one minute to remove any remaining test solution, and moisture on the surface of the test article is removed by blowing with dry air. |

[Object] One of the purposes of the present invention is to provide an organopolysiloxane that is an intermediate compound for providing a silicone macromer having a quaternary ammonium cation site in a molecular chain in which a (meth)acrylic group is introduced in a high percentage at both terminals.[Solution] The present invention provides an organopolysiloxane having a tertiary amino group in a molecular chain represented by the following general formula (1):wherein, in general formula (1) R is, independently of each other, a group selected from an alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, an aryl group having 6 to 10 carbon atoms, and an aralkyl group having 7 to 10 carbon atoms; R<sup>1</sup> is, independently of each other, a group selected from an alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, an aryl group having 6 to 10 carbon atoms, and an aralkyl group having 7 to 10 carbon atoms; Q<sup>1</sup> and Q<sup>2</sup> are, independently of each other, a group represented by the following formula (2) or the following formula (3); "a" is an integer of 1 to 400; and "b" is an integer of 1 to 50; wherein, in formula (2), "n1" is an integer of 2 to 10, and "n2" is an integer of 0 to 10; wherein, in formula (3), R<sup>1</sup> is a group selected from an alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms, an aryl group having 6 to 10 carbon atoms, and an aralkyl group having 7 to 10 carbon atoms. |
