A multi-layer seal formed with a first layer for visual detection of leak by incorporating coloring agent that is water soluble, a second layer for electrical detection of a leak by a sensor, the second layer incorporating disbursable agent which disburses into the water upon contacting water and causing a change in chemical, and/or electrical property of the water, and a third layer made of water swelling material which swells upon contact with water. The three layers may be arranged in an orientation wherein a leak would first reach the first layer, then reach the second layer, and lastly reach the swelling layer. The sealing layer arrangement may be correlated to the fluid flowing direction. The layers may form independent parts placed side-by-side or may be integrated into a single seal loop. |

Zusammenfassung
A self-regulated solar power delivery system for data center. The ambient temperature outside of the data center is monitored. When the temperature exceeds a preset threshold, a controller activates switches to connect a PV system to a DC/DC converter and the DC/DC converter to a plurality of thermoelectric coolers (TECs). When the temperature drops below a second threshold, the controller disconnects the PV system. In this manner, when additional cooling is needed the most, i.e., during hot ambient temperature, the PV system also generates the most energy and can be used to energize TECs which enhance heat transportation from the processors. The PV system may also be used to activate a liquid cooling pump or other cooling devices to enhance heat removal from the servers. |

According to some embodiments, described herein is a method and a system for guaranteeing safety at a control level of an ADV when at least a portion of a planned path generated by a planning module of the ADV is uncertain due to traffics and/or road condition changes. The planning module, when generating a path, also generate a confidence level of each segment of the path based on one or more of perception data, map information, or traffic rules. The confidence levels are decreasing further away from the ADV. When the control module of the ADV obtains the path and the associated confidence levels, the control module issue control commands to track only one or two segments whose confidence levels exceeds a threshold hold, and issue default control commands for the rest of the path. |

Zusammenfassung
Autonomous excavator has developed rapidly in recent years because of a shortage of labour and hazardous working environments for operating excavators. Presented herein are embodiments of a novel hierarchical planning system for autonomous machines, such as excavators. In one or more embodiments, the overall planning system comprises a high-level task planner for task division and base movement planning, and general sub-task planners with motion primitives, which include both arm and base movement in the case of an excavator. Using embodiments of the system architecture, experiments were performed for the trench and pile removal tasks in the real world and for the large-scale material loading tasks in a simulation environment. The results show that the system architecture embodiments and planner method embodiments generate effective task and motion plans that perform well in autonomous excavation. |
