Provided are a measurement method for a target substance using immunoturbidimetry and a reagent therefor. The method is for measuring a target substance in a specimen, the target substance being a protein having a molecular weight of 150 to 500 kDa, incorporated into the specimen at a concentration of 0.8 to 2.0 ng/mL. The method includes: mixing the specimen and a first reagent to provide a first solution; mixing the first solution and a second reagent, including a particle immobilized a ligand that binds to the target substance, to provide a second solution; and measuring the absorbance of the second solution. The concentration of the specimen in the second solution is 4.0 to 30.0 vol%, the mass ratio of the particle to the specimen in the second solution is 1:500 to 1:50, and an amount of change in absorbance per 1.0 ng/mL of the target substance is 0.0012 to 0.0100. |
