The present disclosure relates to a display device and a method thereof. A display device according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include: a display panel which has light transmissivity; a light blocking film which blocks light transmitted through the display panel; and a controller, and the controller may confirm a light blocking state of the display panel corresponding to a region where the light is blocked within an entire region of the display panel, determine a setting related to an output of a screen through the display panel based on the light blocking state, output a predetermined image through the display panel according to the determined setting, and perform a predetermined operation of preventing burn-in of the display panel according to a predetermined period corresponding to the light blocking state.

A refrigerator is provided. According to one embodiment, the refrigerator includes a cabinet forming a storage compartment; a lighting assembly disposed at an inner upper part of the storage compartment and providing light toward the storage compartment; and a duct assembly disposed at an inner rear part of the storage compartment, in which the lighting assembly includes a lighting device having a rear end which is supported by the duct assembly and a front end which is fixed to the cabinet.

A reciprocating compressor provided with a damper is disclosed. The compressor includes a fastening member that fastens a stator and a cylinder block. The fastening member may be named a stator bolt. The compressor further includes a damper. The damper is press-fitted into and coupled to an insertion portion of the fastening member protruding from an upper surface of the cylinder block. Through this, the damper may protect a compressor body from external impact by avoiding a drive motor and a compression unit, which are the compressor body, from directly colliding with a housing due to a vibration generated during the operation of the compressor.

A refrigerator comprises: a cabinet having a storage space; a door that opens and closes the storage space; a hinge device configured to allow the door to rotate relative to the cabinet; a door opening and closing device configured to open and close the door and including a driver; and a controller configured to control the door opening and closing device. The controller is configured to: operate the driver in a forward direction to automatically open the door, stop the driver when an opening of the door is completed, and operate the driver in a reverse direction to automatically close the door when it is detected that the driver is being operated in the reverse direction by an external force in a state in which the driver is stopped.

Provided is a refrigerator. The refrigerator includes a first door opening and closing a storage chamber of a cabinet and a second door coupled to be rotatable relative to the first door by a second hinge. The second hinge includes a locking hook mounted to be reciprocally movable along a hinge coupling portion by an operation of a door opening and closing device, to be locked to engage with an engaging protrusion of the first door or unlocked from the engaging protrusion when the second door is open or closed. Through this, the locking hook can be automatically locked to or unlocked from the engaging protrusion by an operation of the door opening and closing device.

The refrigerator and the method for controlling the same according to the present invention can sense even lower obstacles, including the user's foot, by disposing one or more distance sensing sensors in the lower region of the door. Through this, it is possible to significantly improve the safety of the user and the refrigerator because when the user uses the door, it is possible to prevent an accident in which an object near the floor, an infant, a companion animal, a foot of the user, or the like collides with the door.

According to the present invention, the refrigerator and the method for controlling a refrigerator can easily measure the separation distance to the user's foot as the distance sensing sensor is disposed in the lower portion of the door to protrude downward. Thereby, it is possible to effectively prevent the user's foot, which is generally located closest to the door among the body parts of the user, from being collided by the door in the process of the insertion or withdrawal of the door.

The refrigerator and the method for controlling the same according to the invention can adjust the opening mode of the door (30) including the first opening mode in which the door is opened to the maximum and the second opening mode in which it is opened partially, according to the user's selection. As described above, when opening the door, the user can select between the first opening mode and the second opening mode depending on the situation, so that when taking out a small item, the user can open the door partially, saving time and effort.

According to a refrigerator and a method for controlling a temperature of a refrigerator according to the present invention, by supplying cold air generated from a refrigerator evaporator to a convertible compartment, it is possible to implement a convertible compartment temperature-decreasing mode, which achieves a temperature of the convertible compartment that is lower than that of a refrigerating compartment, and a convertible compartment temperature-increasing mode, which achieves the temperature of the convertible compartment that is higher than that of the refrigerating compartment.

According to the refrigerator and the method for controlling a temperature of a refrigerator according to the present invention, by supplying the cold air generated from the freezer evaporator and supplied to the freezing compartment to the convertible compartment, it is possible to implement the convertible compartment temperature-decreasing mode, which achieves the temperature of the convertible compartment that is lower than that of the refrigerating compartment, and the convertible compartment temperature-increasing mode, which achieves the temperature of the convertible compartment that is higher than that of the refrigerating compartment.
