A processing module for a receiver device configured to provide for processing of a frame received by the receiver device from a transmitter device, the at least one frame comprising a plurality of repeating predetermined synchronization symbols for providing synchronization between the processing module and the transmitter device and one or more start-of-frame symbols defining the end of the synchronization symbols, the processing module configured to: perform cross correlation to obtain a cross-correlation function on i) at least a part of the received frame; with ii) a predetermined modulation sequence used to modulate the one or more start-of-frame symbols and not the synchronization symbols; and determine the location of the start-of-frame symbols based on an increase, above a threshold increase, in the cross-correlation function from a negative cross-correlation with the synchronization symbols to a greater cross-correlation with the part of the received frame containing the start-of-frame symbols. |

A battery pack has first and second battery terminals, plural battery cells each with a battery element, a cell supervisor electrically connected to the battery element, and a communication section to communicate with the cell supervisor. The battery elements are connected serially between the first and second battery terminals. Bus interfaces are arranged in alternating fashion with the battery cells to define a daisy chain bus, each such bus interface being configured for signal communication, the interfaces respectively connecting the communication sections of two adjacent battery cells. A battery manager communicates with the battery cells via the daisy chain bus. The battery manager sends a command message to the battery cells using a through mode protocol, and each battery cell sends at least one of a confirmation message and a service request to the battery manager using a shift mode protocol. |

The impedance transforming elements (104, 106) at least partly alter the impedance presented at the balanced and unbalanced side of the balun. In addition at least one matching transmission element (134,136,138) is provided. By separating the role of impedance transformation from balun signal conversion, the useful bandwidth of the circuit (100) can be improved in comparison to a balun that provides both signal conversion and impedance transformation functions. |

The receive-paths are connected between a path-switch-output-terminal and a redirect-switch-input-terminal. The path-switching-unit and the redirect-switching-unit are configured to selectively connect each receive-path between different ones of the plurality of switch-terminal-pairs, based on a switch-control-signal. The processor can receive first-processor-input-signals from a first configuration of the plurality of receive paths selectively connected between the plurality of switch-terminal-pairs; receive further-processor-input-signals from one or more further configurations of the plurality of receive-paths selectively connected between the plurality of switch-terminal-pairs; and determine an angle-of-arrival associated with the input-signals based on the first-processor-input-signals and further-processor-input-signals. |
