[Problem to be Solved] To provide a driving control apparatus for a transportation service vehicle, the driving control apparatus being capable of preventing unease and decline in the comfort of passengers while preparing for an unexpected entry of a traffic participant into a driving path, and achieving a light computation load.[Solution] The driving control apparatus for a transportation service vehicle includes: a driving operation determination unit that determines a target path based on a global path and a road environment near the vehicle; and a control unit that performs speed control and steering control such that the vehicle follows the target path, wherein the driving operation determination unit is prepared to, when an accessible zone is present on a driving course ahead of the vehicle, selectively perform a first alert mode in which the vehicle travels at a lower speed than in normal driving while keeping in the lane, or a second alert mode in which the vehicle changes to a lane away from the accessible zone while maintaining a normal driving speed, and configured to perform the second alert mode if predetermined lane change conditions are established when a service operation is not being performed, and perform the first alert mode if the service operation is being performed or the predetermined lane change conditions are not established. |
