A control circuit (115) is configured to cause the transfer switch (105) to cause a transfer of power to the load (101) from the first power source (102A) to the second power source (102B) in response to a user command and to delay the transfer of power to be within a transfer time window and based on a phase relationship between power provided by the first power (102A) and second power sources (102B). |

Zusammenfassung
Star-delta convertible connector (200) and method of operating the same for selectively establishing a star configuration or a delta configuration in a three-phase power distribution system are disclosed. The connector includes a socket assembly (202) having multiple receptacles electrically coupled to corresponding terminals and arranged to receive phase conductors and, selectively, neutral conductors, as well as an interchange plug receptacle. The interchange plug (204) includes prongs carrying at least one conductive busbar (222) configured to establish different electrical interconnections based on plug orientation. In a first orientation, the busbar electrically interconnects phase conductors with neutral conductors to establish a star configuration, and in a second orientation, the busbar electrically interconnects phase conductors with one another to establish a delta configuration. Switching between configurations is accomplished by removing the interchange plug, reorienting the interchange plug by approximately 180 degrees, and reinserting the interchange plug, without rewiring, disassembly, or removal of the socket assembly. |

A system and method for continuous real-time monitoring of charge levels, e.g., fluid refrigerant available within a refrigerant reservoir of a pumping apparatus for a two-phase cooling system, receives power data corresponding to a current load drawn by each server or information technology (IT) device served by the pumping apparatus. Based on the received power data, the controller infers the expected charge level, e.g., the proportion of fluid refrigerant that should be remaining within the refrigerant reservoir as opposed to circulating in the secondary fluid network of the cooling system, and compares the expected charge level to an actual current charge level sensed within the refrigerant reservoir, initiating a gentle system shutdown and/or generating an alert if the actual charge level sufficiently deviates from the expected charge level based on the received power data. |

Zusammenfassung
A system and method for smart pre-cooling in a single-phase or two-phase cooling system maintains a thermal buffer tank in fluid communication with the primary and secondary fluid networks of the cooling system (as applicable) wherein a fluid thermal buffer may be stored to provide reserve cooling capacity. A controller of the cooling system receives weather data, e.g., ambient temperatures for one or more segments of an hour, day, week, or other predetermined duration. For each segment, based on forecasted ambient temperatures, the controller may direct the thermal buffer tank to charge or use reserve cooling capacity to minimize overall energy consumption. For example, when temperatures are lower the thermal buffer tank may charge additional cooling capacity, and when temperatures are higher the thermal buffer tank may deploy reserve cooling capacity to reduce the burden on other chiller devices in removing heat from the system. |
