A method for controlling a hearing device (10) comprises: receiving an audio stream (40) in the hearing device (10); processing the audio stream (40) with the hearing device (10) into a processed audio stream (46) with at least one actuator (44) of the hearing device (10), which at least one actuator (44) is controlled by an actual set of actuator strengths (47) and which control how the at least one actuator (44) processes the audio stream (40); outputting the processed audio stream (46) with the hearing device (10) to a user of the hearing device (10); inputting the audio stream (40) into at least one acoustic environment classifier (48) of the hearing device (10), which outputs at least one acoustic environment classification value (50) indicative of an acoustic environment of the user; determining a new set of actuator strengths (54) based on the at least one acoustic environment classification value (50); receiving at least one input stream (40, 42, 58) determined from sensor data of a sensor of the hearing device (10); determining at least one change rate (62) for the at least one input stream (40, 42, 58); determining at least one change parameter (64) for an actuator change from the actual set of actuator strengths (47) to the new set of actuator strengths (54); and controlling the at least one actuator (44), such that the actual set of actuator strengths (47) changes to the new set of actuator strengths (54) in dependence of the at least one change parameter (64). |
