The container for storing thermal energy according to the invention has an improved heat transfer property and a higher long-term stability. |

The invention process may be combined optionally with another monitoring process based on a turning-off switching operation of the switch, for monitoring a degradation state of another electrical interconnection within the same half-bridge branch. Complete interconnection monitoring for said half-bridge branch is thus possible. |
