A gate disposed on the gate dielectric layers is configured to induce quantum dots in the semiconductor layer (102). The dielectric layer structure compensates for the unwanted fixed charges present at the interface between the semiconductor (102) and the first dielectric layer (104). A position of the slot with respect to the mounting plane is arranged for causing a local bending and/or stretching of the attachment area in response to a mechanical pull force on the pull tab. This creates a local stress concentration in the attachment area that propagates and detaches the flexible substrate from the mounting plane.
