In an automatic splicing or welding installation comprising a wire holder (200) adapted to hold, in a pre-stripped state, wire segments (300) plugged in a given longitudinal alignment and in parallel extensions, as well as an automatic splicing or welding machine separate from the wire holder, a robotic arm is equipped with a robotic gripper for gripping pre-stripped wire segments in the wire holder, stripping the wire segments by forcibly withdrawing them from said wire holder, and bringing the stripped wire segments to the splicing or welding machine for splicing or welding them, while preserving the longitudinal alignment and the parallel extension of said wire segments. The gripper has a comb-like clamping wall structure (110a) comprising a series of parallel longitudinally extending and transversely spaced movable clamping walls (111), each pair of adjacent clamping walls forming a wire receiving passageway in which a wire segment can be gripped.

A support device (700) supports an assembly of wire harness elements during the manufacture a wire harness, for transport of the assembly from a wire segment plugging area to a splicing area. The device has a frame-like structure with outer frame segments (710,720,730,740) and one central open window (750) formed therebetween. Some of the outer frame segments have fixtures for securing the support device to an underlying support pallet (400) adapted to support connectors (250) in which wire segments (300) can be plugged at the wire plugging area (810). Connectors (250) plugged into the pallet emerge through the open window (750) of the support device (700) when the support device (700) is secured to said support pallet (400) through said fixings (760). One of the outer frame segments comprises bearing elements for bearing sets of wires after they have been processed in the splicing or welding area (610).

A radar system for a vehicle includes a first radar sensor and a second radar sensor, both configured to transmit and receive radar signals in the same frame. A processor system, coupled to these sensors, transmits a first set of chirps from the first radar sensor and a second set of chirps from the second radar sensor. Each chirp has specific start and end times, and frequency bands, with differing frequency ranges. The chirps from the two sensors are interleaved such that the start frequency of the second sensor's chirps lies between the start and end frequencies of the first sensor's chirps, and the end frequency of the first sensor's chirps lies between the start and end frequencies of the second sensor's chirps. Additionally, each chirp from the first sensor overlaps in time with at least a portion of the chirps from the second sensor.

The present disclosure relates to a radar system for automotive application. The radar system comprises a support structure for supporting a license plate. The radar system further comprises a multitude of radar antennas arranged on the support structure. The present disclosure further relates to a vehicle comprising a radar system.

This document describes motion planning with variable grid resolution for graph-search-based planning. An example system includes a processor that obtains an initial pose, a goal pose, and an obstacle map for an environment. The processor uses a motion-planning algorithm to determine a path or trajectory using two or more grid resolutions for a graph-based search. The path includes a series of waypoints, including two-dimensional positional coordinates (and time coordinates if a trajectory), to navigate from the initial pose towards the goal pose. Operation of the host vehicle is then controlled to maneuver along the path using an assisted-driving or autonomous-driving system. In this way, motion planning is performed for the entire path but uses a coarser grid resolution for the portion nearer the goal pose. This allows motion planning for autonomous parking, especially in environments that include static and dynamic objects, to be handled in a more computationally-efficient manner.
